V&A
Hamza was privileged to donate an original collection of his artwork to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, which is renowned as the world's greatest museum of art and design. The pieces of artwork donated form part of a unique historical collection of art, design and fashion during the 1970s - 80s.

Hamza Arcan was born in the historical city of Istanbul, Turkey. He trained to become an architect following his talent for drawing, layout and graphics. He went on to discover his passion for illustration and the creative freedom it gave him.

Looking for a new challenge and inspiration Hamza explored the fashion capitals of Milan, Paris and London. He decided to study at St. Martin’s School of Art, London, one of the leading fashion institutions in the world. This is where he begun his career in illustration from 1974.

Work has varied throughout his career in the UK from fashion illustration to design and from textiles to digital graphics. Hamza has built on his success and reputation through the diverse, imaginative and explorative nature of his work.
